These stunning espresso mugs and Whisky Cups are inspired by the Scottish landscapes and handmade by artist Michelle Young-hares. They are ceramic pottery with a runny glaze. The Whisky cups are 7 cms high and can be slightly heated or cooled dependent on how you prefer your wee tot, they hold 180ml when full. Since these items are handmade there will always be a slight variation in both the size and glaze.
'My inspiration comes from the rugged West Coast of Scotland's Highlands and Islands. The glazes are applied to suggest shorelines and silhouetted landforms, sunsets and bracken, salty sea tang and chattering waterfalls.'
Each one is completely unique and a work of art.
