I’m super excited to tell you about our new products that will be coming soon. I had attended the Specialty food show in Glasgow last month and was blown away with the high-quality products. I ate my body weight in tasters and came home with a sack filled with samples that Santa would be jealous of! Thank you to all who gave me samples, i'm still working my way through the bag .
I absolutely loved chatting to the amazing producers and hearing all their inspiring stories. It was also great to meet some of our own producers and catch up with others. Call me old fashioned, but I so prefer meeting face to face than talking on a phone or in an email. Although I do talk a wee bit too much and felt I didn’t get to every stand!
I would love to mention all the amazing products that I found, but that would be an essay, and this is a blog! I’m already struggling with the word count here!
Coming soon ….
I was hoping to find some healthier option snacks and found Growers Garden and their broccoli crisps. (based in Fife) They are made from the wonky broccoli supermarkets don’t want, 100 % natural, taste amazing and are gluten free. What’s not to love here! They sent me a huge box of samples and I’m just awaiting on other products to add into the box I’m hoping to offer. I must admit I have eaten quite a few bags … they are that good! https://growers-garden.com/our-roots/
I have a sweet tooth and was so impressed with the amount of high-quality chocolate producers at the show. It’s so difficult to pick, when you are spoilt with such choice !
Have you ever heard of Ruby chocolate?
Well neither had until I met the wonderful Niome from Ruby & Cocoa (based in the Scottish Borders) I can now tell you it tastes amazing, has an intriguing berry like taste and is the most beautiful pink colour. The berry taste and colour are naturally present in the ruby cocoa bean, where the chocolate is derived from. I had to order for Valentine’s day as they are just the perfect colour and product for that special day. For more info https://www.rubyandcocoa.co.uk/
Another hugely inspiring producer I met was the lovely Finlay from Chocolates of Glenshiel (based in the Scottish Highlands). His chocolate range is totally ‘on point’. Which means ‘extremely good, attractive or stylish ‘and that would be an understatement! I will be ordering these delicious chocolates soon. for more info https://www.chocolatesofglenshiel.com/
Last but certainly not least (I could actually write an essay here) I found ‘The Nut Shack ‘ who produce the most delicious ( and very moreish ) flavoured peanuts . Peanuts from Paisley? Who knew!
They have a variety of flavours and the spicy ones are HOT (but soooo good) and they even do a bacon one that is actually vegan! So looking forward to getting a hold of these. For more info https://thenutshack.co.uk/
I really love gathering all these amazing Scottish producers for you to enjoy. It really is time for the Gathering …Come Join the Clan https://clanartisan.co.uk/
